17,000DWT CRUDE OIL TANKER - Wright International Ltd is delighted to offer this superb 17,000 DWT CRUDE OIL TANKER when the entire world is calling out for quality vessels like this. Manufactured to conform to I.A.C.S. Ltd this vessel would make a very valued asset to any company. This ship has been designed as a single engine, single screw propeller, single deck, product / crude oil tanker. Fitted with a bulbous bow and has been designed to have 12 Cargo Oil Tanks. It is double hulled and doubled bottomed.
This vessel is designed for operating the Oceans of the world and the Naval Architect selected an engine that could be serviced in almost any port in the world. This vessel with its Hitachi Man B& W 8PC2-6L marine diesel engine produces 4400kW as it rotates at 520 rpm. The power is transmitted down through the GWC7085 gearbox with its 1:3.0 reduction giving the vessel a working speed of 13 knots and a range of some 9000 nautical miles.
As this vessel is designed to be an Ocean travelling Crude Oil Tanker, the Naval Architect arranged for it to be single screw and double hulled. This allows for the shipping of gasoline with flash point smaller than 60 Deg C, the light diesel oil, and crude oil with a ratio of Gasoline 0.73t/m3; Diesel oil 0.83t/m3; Crude Oil 0.925t/m3.
